The Power of Breathwork In Sedona Healing, Release, and Transformation

Breathwork and sound healing I was reminded the other day why I do the work that I do. I held a Circular Connected breathwork session for two women visiting Sedona, and within just a few hours, I witnessed the power of the breath and how it moves emotion, shifts energy, and brings the nervous system back into balance.
Our time together began with a cacao ceremony, and then we moved into a circular connected breathing session, and I supported the journey with a sound healing at the end of the session.
We spent about two and a half hours together. By the end of our time together there were tears, laughter, deep insights, and a feeling of release that was almost palpable in the room. Moments like these remind me why I became a breathwork practitioner.
My own journey with breathwork started back in 2017 here in Sedona.
At the time, I didn’t fully understand what breathwork could do. I joined a session with a practitioner simply because I was curious. What happened during that session shifted something in me that I couldn’t quite explain. My breath opened a doorway to a release of massive grief I had been holding. Those emotions surfaced, and I didn’t even realize how deep they were. There was a sense of connection and clarity that stayed with me long after the session ended. That experience planted a seed.
Over time, after seeing how powerful breathwork was in my own life, I felt called to learn how to guide others through this work. Two years ago, I became a trauma-informed breathwork practitioner. This allows me to safely hold space for people as they move through their own healing journey through trauma-informed breathwork Sedona sessions.
What is Trauma Informed Breathwork?
Breathwork is one of the most powerful practices I guide because of the way it helps people reconnect with themselves. At its core, it’s simply the practice of working consciously with your breath to support emotional, mental, and physical healing.
Breathing is something we do so naturally every day but it’s also something we can use as it becomes a doorway into deeper awareness when we begin to breathe with intention in a safe and sacred space
The style of breathwork I guide is called circular connected breathing. It’s a rhythmic pattern where the inhale flows directly into the exhale without pausing at the top. Once people settle into that rhythm, the body begins to shift out of its normal breathing pattern and something deeper starts to happen. The breath begins moving energy through the body in a way that most of us don’t experience in everyday life.
As you begin to breath deeper, the body holds the wisdom and it takes over. Oxygen increases, the nervous system begins to regulate, and many people notice their mind gets quieter. Instead of thinking through things, the body begins processing what it has been holding. Emotions sometimes rise to the surface, physical sensations can move through the body, and there is often a sense of going inward in a way that feels very natural. This is why many people describe breathwork as a journey within. It can reach places inside of us that words or conversation alone sometimes cannot access.
One of the reasons this work is so meaningful to me is because of the way breathwork supports the release of stored trauma. Trauma isn’t just something we remember with our mind. It lives in the body and in the nervous system. Experiences like stress, grief, loss, or emotional pain can stay with us long after the event has passed. Over time, that stored energy can show up as anxiety, tension, fatigue, or simply a feeling of being disconnected from ourselves.
Breathwork creates a pathway for that energy to move. When the breath becomes rhythmic and continuous, the body often begins releasing what it has been holding onto. Sometimes that looks like emotions surfacing.
Sometimes people feel energy moving through different areas of the body. You can experience this through tingling, deep sensations, and a release through toning or voicing it out. This creates relief and clarity at a deep level.
Because breathwork can open the door to powerful experiences, the space in which it happens matters. My role as a trauma-informed breathwork practitioner is to guide the process gently and create an environment where people feel safe and supported as their body moves through whatever it is ready to release. Every session is very different, because every person carries their own story, and the body always unfolds in its own timing.
These sessions are curated in a very intentional way and are guided by a beautiful playlist that I craft for each session. I am also there guiding you the entire way providing support. These session can be done in a group or a private session, depending on your needs. I personally have experienced very deep healing with circular connected breathwork and it is my honor to hold this space for you.
